Ever wonder how your favourite artists make singing and performing look so effortless and natural? As long as you have the passion and dedication, we can give you the tools you need to become the best performer you can be!
Though CSMA Studio is chiefly a vocal training studio, a true artist understands the importance of being diverse and well-rounded. This is why we have developed a wide selection of classes that are designed to complement each other and enrich your learning experience.
Step 1: Singing Lessons
Actress and singer Bernadette Peters once said, “Singing lessons are like body-building for your larynx.” Just as a body-builder needs regular exercise to maintain his or her physical form, a singer also needs to perform exercises to improve and maintain their vocal form.
Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned professional, regular singing lessons with a qualified vocal coach will help you protect your voice, develop proper vocal techniques, correct any bad singing habits you may have, and, most importantly, learn how to sing with joy and freedom! Remember, the voice is an instrument and the only way to maintain it and keep it in tune is by practicing regularly and correctly.
- Private lessons, semi-private lessons (2 per group) and small group classes (3-4 per group) can be arranged.
- Classes can be tailored to suit singers of all abilities.
- We only accept students aged 8 and above.
STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT SINGERS ARE ALSO WELCOME TO TAKE THESE CLASSES!
Pop Guitar Lessons for Beginners: Learn to play all your favourite songs on guitar! Adam's teaching method is best suited for beginners looking to acquire the basic skills necessary to continue self-teaching themselves in the future. Over the course of 4-8 lessons, the ultimate objective would be to provide every student with enough knowledge necessary to continue exploring the guitar on their own and at their own pace. Over the course of the lessons, each student will receive handout notes and exercises along with custom-made audio tracks to play along with. Students will also be taught how to play a number of popular songs specifically selected to apply the skills taught. The different topics covered include:
- Basic chords and chord building
- Basic scales and scale exercises
- Basic music harmony theory
- Basic rhythm theory
- Introduction to guitar tablature
- Introduction to guitar equipment and accessories
Home Studio 101: Learn how to set up your own home studio and record high-quality, low-budget demos.
Learn English Through Singing: A great class for students whose native language is not English. Studies have shown that learning to perform English songs helps students to develop a more natural flow, rhythm, intonation of spoken English. It's also a great way to pick up new vocabulary and improve pronunciation. Though students in this class will learn some vocal techniques, the focus of the course is primarily on developing and improving English language skills.
Step 3: Showcase Your Skills
CSMA Studio holds regular student showcase events at reputable venues all around Hong Kong. These fun and exciting events aim to give students the opportunity to perform their talents for a live audience!
